Empire Tower...might be the most photographed tall building in Bangkok.
On a weekly basis the traffic in Thanon Naradhiwas is impacted by TV Soap Opera crews on the road. A brand new building has just been finished on the other side of the intersection, so The Empire Tower is getting a facelift to try to stay competitive. Hoverfly...wings beating too fast to be frozen at 1/500th/sec...hovers while inspecting the prospects from this grass flower.
In the Village, there is much happening if you can fix a macro lens to your camera and go wandering. They tend to hang about in herds, and even travel that way...garishly "decorated" and sometimes even have a small disco operating at the back, even when touring.
My observation is that there are more Lexii than Camrys or Corollas in Cambodia, and I don't understand how this can be!
Around 2300...a back street in Bangkok, near Chinatown...no competition in sight...no customers neither...

I'd be happy to see more of this kind of city building, especially if the greenery was edible. |
