Last night Spot gave birth to five healthy-looking puppies...three male and two female. It is her first litter, but she seems to know exactly what to do.
Detail of a large mural in one of the merit-making chambers of the temple, Wat Hua Lampong, Thanon 4, Bangkok...it pulls no punches in depicting Johnny Walker's Black Label blended product as Devil's Water.
I wonder if it would be so emphatic about a single malt like, say, Talisker... The attractive, distinctive Hoopoe visits our garden to dig worms and crickets out of the grass. This bird is so unusual that it has a "family" to itself in the Taxonomy Chart.
I think it looks and behaves a little like a woodpecker, except that it plunges its beak into the ground rather than a tree. The Hoopoe is native to Thailand but, I understand, also lives in Africa and Europe. Funny, isn't it, how we associate multiple exhaust outlets at the back of a vehicle with Power and Speed.
And...is Perforated becoming significant? Flower garden in Bangkok's Lumpini Park.
It is hard to look at a sight like this and feel miserable...unless, of course, you are a gardener whose Zinnias are refusing to behave! Here is Stan Stinkbug...hoping a little fragrance will transfer to him from the bloom in our garden.
