Especially at the weekend, there is a lot happening in Bangkok's Lumpini Park...there might be two separate groups conducting aerobics, two or three groups practicing formal ballroom dancing, many family groups engaged in some form of sport...and, maybe, 20 groups [like this one] conducting training sessions for many different martial art disciplines.
Working on its web, not far from where I was eating a meal at a restaurant by the Mekong River at Luang Prabang, Laos.
Recently I took a couple of friends, visiting from Bangkok, to see some Khmer ruin sites not far from our home.
One of the visitors was Koen, who is a prolific and talented artist. Above is Koen's interpretation of the very attractive Ta Kwai Khmer structure...a 900 year old sandstone building that is hidden in rainforest on the Thailand:Cambodia border. I have this work, printed on canvas, on a wall in my home. Here is a picture I made of Ta Kwai: 15deg in the middle of the day...this is the coldest day our cats have ever experienced! Snowy and Smoky have burrowed under the throw-over on our bed...
