Myanmar 2014

Tim, Koen and I visited Yangon, Myanmar for a few days in October. Our main intention was to visit friend David, who is presently living and working there, but we were also curious to see for ourselves what, if any, real changes might be taking place in Myanmar.

We stayed with David in his rented house, walked for hours around Yangon, made use of the train facilities, and sampled a variety of local foods and beer.

After Koen returned to Bangkok, Tim and I travelled East by train to Bago, and then SouthEast by bus to the Golden Rock site.

We did conclude that Myanmar is changing rapidly and positively.
