Singapore
Singapore is a little country with a lot on offer. It appears to be deliberately targeting "World's Best" as its standard for all tourist attractions, and routinely achieving that goal.

Pulau UbinDay trip, with Ayush, to the island of Pulau Ubin, off Singapore.
The journey was interesting...train, double-deck bus, Bum Boat, Bicycle, Shanks' Pony... It is an interesting, deliberately under-developed island environment...the antithesis of Sentosa Island, which has been transformed into a Disneyland-like fantasy place. |

Botanic GardensThe Gardens are easily accessible, large, well tended, well set out, well marked, and free. Its hot and humid, and the undulating topography ensures the visitor gets a good workout.
It rained hard just as I was finishing a 2 hour visit, and this made it even more memorable. |

The ZooLots of healthy animals and the garden is very much designed with a focus on the comfort of its exhibits.

Bird Park #1Could be the best Bird Park on Earth, and is the best attraction I have visited in Singapore.
|
|
Bird Park #2You can get quite close to the exhibits.

Sands Garden by the BayOpened in 2012, and I visited it during its first week. Its a private park...part of a Casino complex...but it is spectacular and visit-worthy.

While working......there is still a little time to explore. The Singapore River stroll has been a pleasant discovery, and is just a couple of hundred metres from my serviced apartment.
