Wat Arun [aka Temple of Dawn] is one of the most significant Buddhist temples in Thailand. It is built on the bank of the Chao Phraya river in Bangkok, and King Param2 was apparently a major sponsor of its construction. 

From a boat on the river it appears as a huge, grey, dour Stupa...however, up close, its beauty is revealed.
