Sunbirds are tiny, nectar-eating birds that are sometimes described as the Hummingbirds of Asia. Although they prefer to perch, Sunbirds are capable of hovering while eating. Sunbirds augment their nectar diet with insects, often caught in the air. Sunbirds are successful urban dwellers. Olive-backed are the most common species.
