Here is a shot of the sugar cane mangle [crushing mechanism] at a derelict Sugar Factory in Krasang, Buriram. This gorgeous set of gears was connected by a long, flat belt to a three-head Lister engine...the fully intact engine is still in place.

The frog found what it felt was a safe place to make its home. The only problem was that it was more than 40degC on this day and the 2inch square steel tube was getting a little hot!

This Preying Mantis can spend days on the one marigold bloom, feeding on selected butterfly or bee visitors.
It has been a good growing season, with The Monsoon arriving on time and giving sufficient moisture throughout the growth period.
Now is the time to harvest. We have a small, self-propelled, tracked, Japanese Rice Harvester which makes the harvest season short and relatively easy work...one person drives the machine, while two others stand aboard on one side and fill and tie the bags. |
