This, I suppose is the Airport Authority strategy for minimising the risk of being pulled down and consumed by wandering Asian Tigers. I wonder if they have stats on the effectiveness of the strategy... All dwellings in Thailand have a Sarn, or Spirit House, in their garden.
They are pleasant places for Ancestral Spirits, or Ghosts, to live in, so they don't feel the need to enter the family house and cause dis-comfort to the living. At the Village Polling Booth during yesterday's Provincial Elections.
There is a good turnout and, despite drizzling rain, the ice-cream vendor is doing brisk trade and the BBQ snack vendors are moving their wares. The rice harvester is getting it's annual pre-season servicing attention.
Harvest season lasts only about 5 weeks, so there is no time available for breakdowns. Stripped of its safety covers, it is easier to see that it is really a factory-on-tracks. Cyclist fisherman crosses the weir on the way to check his nets. There are many fish running during the wet season in the rice country.
Brownie like to spend quality time [usually sleeping] with the gals Na has placed on top of the cupboard.
