After many weeks of hot, dry weather that has turned Singapore brown, there was a sudden respite in the form of 2 days of soaking rain...it may not be too late for the grass and gardens.
Singapore does not seem to have a system for watering public gardens during times of drought. There are several excellent museums in Singapore...innovative and interesting places where the complexity of cultures of SE Asia are well displayed.
At Singapore's Zion Road Hawkers Food Centre...most of the cooks have messages proclaiming their excellence.
Actually, most of the food here is excellent! Drying clothes make like bunting on the outsides of these budget accommodation flats beside the Singapore River.
I wanted to visit Sultan Mosque in Arab Street, Singapore.
We got there just 10 minutes before it closed to visitors for a 2 hour period beginning mid-day. |
