Yar Yar is a street cat.
She is about the same age, size and colour as our Smoky, but she lives on the street and seems to be continuously pregnant or busily foraging for her brood. She is good-natured and playful, and gentle and appreciative about accepting offers of food gifts. Na sometimes buys a small deep-fried fish for Yar Yar, who accepts it and carries it back to her kittens. Here she is under a food cart, cleaning her face after snacking on a giveaway from the friendly pork noodle vendor. Bangkok...where major political disruption fails to make a dent of the city's commercial exuberance...
Promotion gals, on a city street, offer samples of a new drinking yoghurt product, while passing guys stop in their tracks to admire gorgeously long legs revealed all the way by billowing skirts... Bangkok is unique...Life is Good! As I walked home from gym this morning I noticed the low-angle sunlight streaming into the area was forming a set of Jacob's Ladders.
I hurried home, grabbed the Tablet, hurried back, grabbed this image before the effect disappeared. I have not a clue about the physics involved. A couple of minutes out from Suwanbhumi Airport, the plane brings us over the Gulf of Thailand and onto land...however, it appears a big tide has flooded farmlands..
Empire Tower...might be the most photographed tall building in Bangkok.
On a weekly basis the traffic in Thanon Naradhiwas is impacted by TV Soap Opera crews on the road. A brand new building has just been finished on the other side of the intersection, so The Empire Tower is getting a facelift to try to stay competitive. They tend to hang about in herds, and even travel that way...garishly "decorated" and sometimes even have a small disco operating at the back, even when touring.
Around 2300...a back street in Bangkok, near Chinatown...no competition in sight...no customers neither...
