Darn! Both my Canon full-size body cameras have died! I am struggling to take macros with the tiny eosM. I think the main challenges are: 1) no viewfinder, which forces a different stance, 2) fine focus process is fiddly, using touch screen, 3) the camera is so small that you really hold the lens rather than the body, while trying to adjust focus with the same hand. I might be forced to dig into the odds&ends cupboard and find the Manfrotto that has been hibernating for years. Here is an attempt at a Dragonfly eye:
