There is an all-new Fortuner, just released, which has moved to 4wheel independently-sprung comfort for urban adventurers, but I won't be heading that way any time soon...I think mine is a "keeper".
My Toyota Fortuner is into its 11th year of useful existence. It has been trouble-free so far. It seems Toyota had some good sense when they built this rugged people-mover on a tried-and-proven base of the very long-lived, Thailand designed-and-built Highlux utility truck.
