Just before the meeting started, I took the opportunity to stand at the window and document Singapore's defining architectural highlights .
We came into the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh in the evening, just as the clothing factories were changing shifts.
These folks have completed their shift, and have found seats on the mini-van for the trip home. On the Cambodian side of the border with Thailand, at Chong Chom.
100cc motorcycles just don't have the torque to pull a ton of goods up the small rise to the crossing...no matter, as there are boosters for hire to assist for 50 metres...notice the means of "coupling" simply involves placing one foot on the back of the trailer. When I was visiting Cambodia in early October I found much of the country to be under water!
Most of the locals seem to be taking the situation in their stride, but this couple's body language suggests that they either: #1...have just had a heated debate about whether to eat fish or chicken for dinner, or #2...are getting a little fed up with their chronic foot-rot. This is the time when the rice flowers, and so the bees and other nectar/pollen feeders are particularly busy.
